Things I wish I knew before I started cosplaying: 1. Your first cosplay will typically be bad. Everyone's firsts are typically bad. Don't get discouraged! It's the same as any skill - it takes practice! 2. You don't have to keep up with trends to be popular. I cosplay my favorites which come from shows with less demand vs the current season stuff. Do they help find new people? Sure. But finding characters you love to cosplay brings out ALOT more fulfillment then chasing trends. I did one and don
