Some of those convicted of crimes are pleased not to be sent to prison and are instead carrying out community service.
Under Act 672, offenders may be ordered to perform up to 12 hours of community service such as cleaning public areas, collecting rubbish, washing facilities, cutting grass or clearing cobwebs.
